New model with a range of up to 650 km

Polestar's flagship model is getting a more economical variant with only one engine. This is intended to create a new entry point for the luxury SUV. The built-in battery in the long-range Polestar 3 is still the 111 kWh battery pack as in the variants with two motors. As a result, the new model has a range of up to 650 km according to WLTP. With a charging power of up to 250 kW, charging 10 – 80% of the charge remains possible within 30 minutes.

Due to the omission of the second engine, the Polestar 3 is only driven by the rear wheels and has an output of only 220 kW with 490 Nm of torque. This is still enough for the sprint to 100 km/h in 7.8 seconds and a top speed of 180 km/h. But the 5.0 seconds and 210 km/h with all-wheel drive of the dual motor variant remains unmatched, of course.

At the base price of 78,590 euros, the Long Range version naturally performs better compared to the 85,590 euros of the standard version and buyers would save 7,000 euros.
The rest of the interior of the new Polestar 3 model remains the same and thus at the high level of a luxury SUV.
